Granada´s coastline offers a particular microclimate with 320 days of sun every year and an average temperature of 20º, which makes possible the farming of subtropical fruits in its lush meadows. It also counts with extensive beaches and coves, having as main towns Motril, Salobreña and Almuñecar.

Motril

Head of the coast, counts with all kinds of services and excelent businesses. Inmersed in the history of the Sugar cane for centuries, it offers interesting places to visit such as: the preindustrial museum of the sugar cane, the Virgin's Hill, Calderon's Theatre, Fisher's market, Geo-minery center, Montero Rum cellar, a Park in memorial of the American Nations and the Suarez pond, a protected natural space where many birds nest.

Beautiful town with Arab origins located in a hill to contemplate the sea. Its old area is composed of a Castle, the flower walk and the fountain park are worthy of visiting, also as the ''Peñon'', a large rocky formation which goes into the sea and is surrounded by many beaches with beach bars to taste the local food.

La hermosísima Bahía de la Herrradura y el Puerto Deportivo de Marina del Este están en las cercanías.

Many white towns with a particular arquitecture, appearing to hang from the hillside of Sierra Nevada, form a classical and magical region. Some towns stand out from the rest, such as Lanjaron, with its natural water springs and spa, Pampaneira, Capileira, Bubion and Trevelez, the highest town in all of Spain. Its food is know for the meat and cold meat, specially its jamon.

In Salobreña: Beaches of the ''Charca'', La Cagailla, La Guardia, El Cambron and the Caleton cove.

In Almuñecar: Beaches of ''Puerta del mar'', San Cristobal, Velilla and la Herradura. Coves of Cotobro, el Muerto, Cantarrijan, Calabajio and Cabria.

In Castell de Ferro: Beaches of Sotillo and ''la Rijana''.
